My company, Tyler Technologies, Eagle Division
is looking to hire a developer, a project manager, and one or more business analysts, all based in our Lakewood, CO office. If you're interested, ask me questions send me your resume -- tstone (a) tyler-eagle.com. Brief summary of tasks:
- Work in Java on our content management and tax software. The former product is strong and will have a few dozen installations by the end of the year, but there is no shortage of cool new features to add. Our appraisal and assessment applications are near completion, but there's still a lot of work to do. The development environment is fairly agile and cooperative. You'll have the experts available to learn quickly, and our framework makes adding functionality easy to do, even for the unfamiliar. We're looking for people who are very smart programmers -- you don't need to know Java specifically. (It's easy to learn if you're smart.)
- Project Manager
- The job of a project manager is to act as the contact point for clients and steer the project to completion. This means communicating clearly, managing expectations, and being persistent.
- Business Analyst
- BAs wear lots of different hats (like me!). They test our software, communicate requirements and issues to developers, set up installations for installations and demos, train users, and write documentation. Successful BAs are good at figuring out both how software works currently and how it ought to work :-) Personality counts too -- you should have one.
Our office environment is pretty cool -- throwing soft frisbees is an acceptable way to get someone's attention. And when you're not working with clients face to face you can wear anything from a wizard hat to a triceritops hat. Benefits are pretty keen, too. tamheals
