Goals put in action

I'm going to try to write something every day. Maybe it will be a poem, a joke, a short observation, or a pun. I can't promise it'll always be good, but if I don't get in the habit, nothing good will come. I feel like I need to reconnect with wordcraft, having slavishly devoted most of the last two years to that odd dialect of English called Java. Over the last few months I've read a lot more and I've felt a strong desire for intellectual exploration.

LiveJournal is a good medium for this project. Feel free to tell me honestly what you think of my output. And feel free to harass me if I drop the daily ball.

In other creative output news, I've posted my photographs from December (and a couple months ago I got caught up after a year of laziness). Smoochie silhouetted in the sunset is probably the best of last month's lot.

The muse comes by most often when she knows you are receptive. Feel free to write crap, just so long as you are writing.

Cats always make great photo subjects because they are naturally magnificent. Just ask one.
